“From Outside to Welcome Home” Youth Exchange project was launched by the Kazun Association in partnership with the Local Government of Szatmárcseke. The project was financed by the European Commission through the Youth in Action Programme, Action 1.1.

The exchange program gathered a group of 20 young, 15–25 years old people and 4 group leaders from Szatmárcseke (Hungary) and Plăieşii de Jos/Kászonaltíz (Romania).



Objectives:  

  • raise awareness of the youth about the European citizenship concept and values
  • involve the youth in the process of social inclusion of the disadvantaged minorities
  • encourage the youth to act as multipliers in fighting against discrimination, rasizm and social exclusion
  • engage the youth in non-formal learning activities and interactive dialogues
  • provide opportunity to experience the cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and the sense of unity between different cultural backgrounds

Methods:

  • interactive games, trust and self-esteem building, team building games
  • teamwork, workshops, presentations, lectures
  • learning through experience
  • recording and documenting the activities in a DVD and a written report
